The Story

Over 200 years old and abandoned for five decades, our aim was to create a modern but rustic holiday cottage to accommodate your every need. Over the course of 12 months, host Iveta and a team of brilliant people lovingly restored and furnished The Green Cottage, all whilst incorporating many original features to preserve its character.

The extension was designed around an existing stone wall which still stands today, allowing for vast living space to indulge in. The Green Cottage gets its’ name from the countless eco features we installed.

Cottage Features

Nestled amidst the beautiful Peak District, the Green Cottage is a sanctuary for nature-lovers and the perfect spot to unwind. Natural light is abundant and streams in through the many windows. Whether you’re sat on the terrace reading a book or cooking in the kitchen, relax into the tranquility of the countryside.

The Garden & Terrace

Unwind over drinks on the terrace, too perfect for alfresco dining in the summer months whilst letting your little-ones run wild in the garden. In the colder seasons, get cosy by the fire pit using the logs we provide.

Kitchen & Living Area

Experience open-plan living with comfortable soft seating in the lounge and an expertly furnished kitchen. The picturesque views will make cooking seem less of a chore.

Bedrooms & Bathrooms

The Green Cottage sleeps 6 guests, including 2 bedrooms with king sized beds and 1 twin room. The main bedroom features an en-suite , whilst there are 2 additional bathrooms in the cottage.

  • We offer meet & greet check-in and self check-in. Where possible, our host Iveta will try to meet you on arrival.

  • Ashbourne is around a 15-minute drive, featuring many lovely shops and restaurants.

  • Alton Towers is a short 15-minute drive from the Green Cottage.
